After a heartbreaking loss to the San Francisco 49ers last Saturday night, the Green Bay Packers’ stellar run this season has come to an end. Even though the team is out of action for now, there’s still a lot of work to be done.
For starters, the Packers are expected to make moves to improve the roster around Jordan Love. The star quarterback admitted what he needs to improve on, too, after making a crucial mistake in their brutal loss against the 49ers.
Along with the individual improvement of Jordan and company, the Packers also need to level up their defense on the field. With Green Bay slated to receive the 25th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the front office can certainly do something to get better in this area.
Green Bay Packers Projected to Pick Iowa Hawkeyes’ Cooper DeJean in 2024 NFL Draft
Using that 25th pick in the 2024 Draft, the Green Bay Packers are expected to select Cooper DeJean, based on the latest mock draft by Pro Football Network. The cornerback recently played for the Iowa Hawkeyes and is projected to play at a high level right away.
Apart from playing cornerback, DeJean can also mix it up and handle safety duties if he is picked by the Packers. Thanks to his intriguing blend of range, gliding athleticism, playmaking, and route recognition, the future rookie may be what Green Bay needs to improve its defense on the field.
The 2024 NFL Draft will start on April 25 and end on April 27. With eight picks in their arsenal, the Green Bay Packers will sure have a busy time preparing for this event.
