Green Bay Packers fans will always have a soft spot for veteran kicker Mason Crosby. He took over the kicking job back in 2007 and never looked back. Crosby became one of the most legendary players in franchise history before his departure from the team in 2022.
While many fans felt it was time to move on from Crosby following the 2022 season, it was still a tough pill to swallow. However, entering Week 16, Packers fans had reason to celebrate when breaking news surfaced.

Another kicker change for the #Giants: They’re signing veteran Mason Crosby to their practice squad, sources say. He’ll kick for them on Christmas Day against the #Eagles. Cade York is headed to practice-squad IR after aggravating a leg injury in practice this week.
After 258 consecutive games with the Packers (a franchise record), Crosby was not activated for the one game he spent with the Rams organization. Now with just three weeks left in the 2023 season, Crosby may have an opportunity to show the league he still has it.
Crosby has been good on 81.4% of his field goal attempts throughout the course of his career. Since the league moved the extra point try back in 2015, he has made 95.4% of his extra point attempts. The Giants got one of the better kickers in NFL history on their side for the final stretch of the season.
