The Green Bay Packers lost to the Denver Broncos on Sunday, 19-17, to drop to 2-5 on the year, and many fans on Twitter are calling for the firing of general manager Brian Gutekunst. He has been the general manager of the Packers since January 8, 2018. Gutekunst first joined the team in 1997 as a scouting intern.

He has been with this franchise for a very long time, and it could very well be time for a change in the front office. Brian Gutekunst has overseen a lot of NFL Drafts. That has been one of the issues lately with the Packers is their drafting and development of players.

Two of the most questionable things he has done are trading up for quarterback Jordan Love in the 2020 NFL Draft and trading away quarterback Aaron Rodgers over the past year to the New York Jets. Green Bay is on track to miss the playoffs for the second consecutive season. This is a very young team that needs to grow together, but it feels as if there have been more misses than hits in the NFL Draft since 2015.

This is a very interesting tweet by Andy Herman. The fact that they have only hit on four total draft picks in the top 100 over the past several years is alarming. Yes, drafting is hard, but for a team that doesn’t sign free agents or make many trades, this is a horrendous track record of the NFL Draft.
Green Bay Packers Fans Want Brian Gutekunst Fired as General Manager
Green Bay Packers fans have seen enough of general manager Brian Gutekunst. They shared their reactions during the game and after the game on Sunday against the Denver Broncos.
Brian Gutekunst created one of the most inexperienced offenses in recent memory and Matt LaFleur has found exactly zero ways to make them consistently competitive

Imagine defending Brian Gutekunst for putting this product on the field. Couldn’t be me

#IDontWantToOverreactBUT The Packers need to fire Mark Murphy and Brian Gutekunst today!!
— win the day (@packersman87) October 23, 2023
Gutekunst won’t be fired today, but he could be fired at the end of the season if this continues. The Packers will be in for more losses than more wins before the rest of the season is over here.
