The Green Bay Packers know what is at stake on Sunday Night.  Win and they have a real chance to go to the playoffs this season.  Lose and you might has well start making your 2024 draft boards.  Both Minnesota and Green Bay have been dealing with a significant amount this season.

Injuries were a key reason why the Packers brought in a lightening fast wide receiver for Jordan Love.

In Week 17, the Green Bay Packers signed receiver Bo Melton to the gameday roster from the practice squad. Matt LaFleur and the Packers will have Melton available for Sunday night’s matchup with the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium.

As expected, Christian Watson (hamstring doubtful) will not play and Dontayvion Wicks (chest/ankle questionable) did not practice all week. After catching five passes and producing four first downs over the last two games, Melton has earned more playing time. With a career-high reception performance last week, Melton delivered multiple key conversions against the Carolina Panthers.

He is the fifth Packers player this season to be elevated from the practice squad three times.

Melton’s progress over the 2023 season was highly praised by receivers coach Jason Vrable last week:

“He’s done a tremendous job on special teams in practice, and he’s doing a great job on scout team, and every time I give him a rep, speaking of Bo, he would go out there and make a play at practice with Jordan.”

Fans were also excited to see Melton get another chance:

Bo Melton deserves a spot on the actual roster.
