The Green Bay Packers lose another pass rusher
The Green Bay Packers have been shedding veteran players left and right this offseason as the team looks to rebuild. Aaron Rodgers has stated he wishes to be traded, and general manager Brian Gutekinst sees no reason to try and reload with the 2022 core. The Packers saw a second player flip allegiances to an NFC North rival in as many days on Friday.
The Packers saw tight end Robert Tonyan leave Green Bay to sign with the Chicago Bears on Thursday. The Packers have lost two pass catchers leave this week, as Allen Lazard signed with the New York Jets. Now a veteran pass rusher will be a Minnesota Vikings defender.
According to Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, the Vikings are inking defensive lineman Dean Lowry to a two-year deal worth $8.5 million.

The Packers will now lose a second piece of their pass rush from 2022. They parted ways with Jarran Reed, who will be with the Seattle Seahawks next fall.
Lowry is a former fourth-round pick by the Packers in 2018. He’s been with the team since they drafted him. Lowry will leave Green Bay after recording 252 total tackles and 15.5 sacks.
