Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers used to be the bogeyman of the Chicago Bears. He probably still is even though he’s now playing for the New York Jets. Speaking of Rodgers, he recently gave hilarious advice to Jets teammate and cornerback Sauce Gardner, who is having a problem with a bear – the literal animal.
Former Green Bay Packers star QB Aaron Rodgers still owns the Chicago Bears
During an appearance on the “The Pat McAfee Show” on Tuesday, Rodgers was shown a clip posted by Gardner which is a video of a bear roaming outside his house. Gardner said in a social media post that there is a family full of bears living with me,” and it has made him “scared to go outside at night.”
Enter Rodgers, who brought up a “Jordan Love” solution to Gardner’s problem, one that can be taken as a hilarious shot at his old nemesis in the NFC North division.
Via Christopher Kuhagen of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:
“I think he needs to call up Jordan Love,” said Rodgers, a response that drew laughter from McAfee and his crew. “I think he’s the owner of them right now.”
Rodgers added: “I don’t know where he’s at in New Jersey. I haven’t seen that many bears around my place.”
With Rodgers not with the Packers anymore, the QB1 job in Green Bay is now with Love, though, he is currently recuperating from a knee injury. Love has been successful against the Bears so far in his career. In two career starts versus Chicago – both in 2023 – Love has gone 2-0 with 561 passing yards, five touchdowns, and zero interceptions while also completing 71.2 percent of his attempts.
Green Bay will play the Bears in Week 11 on the road and again in Week 18 at Lambeau Field.
