Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is in his second season with the New York Jets. Throughout his NFL career, he has been one of the most polarizing players in the entire league.
Rodgers has had very interesting political takes amongst other things he has done with life outside of football. He has won a Super Bowl title, a Super Bowl MVP, and multiple MVP awards with the Packers during his tenure as the starting quarterback with the franchise.
Former Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers Voted As NFL’s ‘Most Annoying Player’
Action Network recently polled more than 3,000 football fans and they asked several questions. One of the questions they asked was who is the league’s ‘Most Annoying Player?’ Former Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was voted as the league’s ‘Most Annoying Player’ with gaining 27% of the vote from the fans.
Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs received 17% of the vote, Odell Beckham Jr. of the Miami Dolphins received 10% of the vote, Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs received 8% of the vote, and Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys received 5% of the vote.
Around 23 fanbases thought that Aaron Rodgers was the most annoying player in the NFL including the Green Bay Packers fanbase. To no surprise, the Chicago Bears, the Detroit Lions, and the Minnesota Vikings fanbases all found Rodgers to be the most annoying player in the NFL also.
Ben Mendelowitz of actionnetwork.com said:
“Off the field, no one irritates fans quite like Aaron Rodgers. The Green Bay Packers quarterback topped the list as the most annoying player, with 27% of respondents naming him the most frustrating NFL personality. The sentiment cuts across different age groups and fan bases, but older generations are especially vocal about their dislike for Rodgers. In fact 43% of Chicago Bears fans — perhaps predictably, given the Packers-Bears rivalry — named Rodgers their least favorite player.
Following closely behind was Travis Kelce, with 17% of fans finding the Kansas City Chiefs tight end just as irksome. Kelce’s high-energy persona might not sit well with some, especially younger fans, as the 18-24 age group ranked him the most annoying player (21%).”
Who Could The ‘Most Annoying Player’ If They Did This Again Next Year
There is a chance that if this poll was conducted again next season, Aaron Rodgers could be at the top of the list once again. However, if he were to retire after this season, the list could be different. Travis Kelce or Patrick Mahomes could top this list if Aaron Rodgers was not in the NFL anymore.
It was surprising to see Odell Beckham Jr. in the Top 3 of this list. Actionnetwork.com also conducted other fan polls, but this one was an interesting poll.
