The Green Bay Packers Make Huge Announcement Regarding Aaron Jones’ Availability Against The Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reported that Jones is officially listed as Questionable for Sunday’s contest.
Wes Hodkiewicz of Packers.com said Jones is “optimistic” to play against Tampa Bay:
Speaking with reporters Thursday, Jones was optimistic about his chances of playing against the Buccaneers. The former Pro Bowler has missed six games this year due to hamstring and knee injuries.
Dillon returned to practice on Friday with a modified cast over his right hand from the thumb injury he sustained on the final offensive possession of Monday night’s game against the New York Giants. The fourth-year running back has yet to miss an NFL game due to injury.
Getting Aaron Jones Back Would Be Huge For This Packers’ Offense
A knee injury has kept Aaron Jones out of three games. According to LaFleur, Jones “did what he had to do today” after practicing all week.
In the NFL, quarterbacks go through growing pains, so Jordan Love can expect to encounter some as he develops. It’s the first time he’s gotten consistent game reps since his last year of college in 2019. None of his ups and downs should be all that surprising.
The current issues he’s battling right now, such as accuracy, timing, and footwork, will be concerning in the future, if these persist. Getting a player like Jones back will be huge for not only the entire team, but Jordan Love’s progression.
