The Green Bay Packers are looking to start 2-0 in their new era of football. Jordan Love and company steamrolled over the Chicago Bears in Week One. If they want to continue their momentum into Week Two against the Atlanta Falcons, they may have to do so without running back Aaron Jones.
Aaron Jones suffered a hamstring injury during his long touchdown reception Vs. the Bears. He didn’t return to the game after that play, however, he stated he “could have if the team needed him.” Luckily, the Packers were already up big on Chicago. That being said, he is still listed as questionable going into Week Two, and the Packers Offensive Coordinator named one running back who he feels can step in if need be.
Green Bay Packers Offensive Coordinator Names Emanuel Wilson As Replacement For Aaron Jones

Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported:
Packers OC Adam Stenavich said he has confidence that rookie RB Emanuel Wilson is ready to play if Aaron Jones can’t Sunday. He said he proved it to them late in camp that he was ready for a role if the opportunity came up.
Emanuel Wilson was a pre-season star for the Packers. Specifically he broke out against the Cincinnati Bengals. Despite only receiving six carries, Wilson rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns. In the third quarter, he scored an 11-yard touchdown to put the Packers up 30-19. He then carried one 80 yards for his second touchdown and a 36-19 lead in the fourth quarter.

If Aaron Jones is unable to go, AJ Dillon figures to get a bulk of the carries. However, after carrying the ball 13 times for only 19 yards against the Bears, the Packers may be intrigued to see what Wilson can do early on.
Wilson had an NFL-high 223 rushing yards across three preseason games this year. His explosive playmaking ability was on full display. Wilson’s regular season NFL debut was put on hold in Week One, as Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon were still the primary backs.
Patrick Taylor is also an option at running back for the Packers but he plays almost strictly on special teams.
