The Green Bay Packers added a few pass catchers on day two of the 2023 NFL Draft. One pick said he plans to do more than catch passes from Jordan Love for the Packers. The Packers added tight end Luke Musgrave and wide receiver Jayden Reed in the second round Friday.

The Green Bay Packers have an option for a return man
Both picks are a huge boost for the offense. Love came into the draft working out with the cheapest pass-catching unit in the NFL. The Packers needed to add a wide receiver and a couple of tight ends. Reed can do more than play wide receiver. The Michigan State standout said Friday that he plans to help out on special teams as well. Reed was a punt returner during his time at Michigan State. He scored three touchdowns as a punt returner for the Spartans.
According to Matt Schneidman with The Athletic, Reed said Packers fans should expect to see him returning NFL punts into the end zone:
“Get ready to see a lot of house calls.”

Reed will add more explosive options for the Packers next season. The Packers found Keisean Nixon to be an amazing returner toward the end of last season. It looks like Nixon should have some healthy competition in camp this summer for return duties. If Nixon were to have an injury next season, Reed could be a nifty returner for the Packers in 2023.
