It comes as no surprise that there has been a lot of buzz surrounding Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks following their preseason win against the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. The fact that the Bucks unleashed their newly-formed superstar duo of Giannis and Damian Lillard for the first time definitely has a lot to do with all the brouhaha.
Former three-time All-Star Gilbert Arenas has jumped in on the action.
Gilbert Arenas Trolls Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo
Arenas isn’t heaping praise on Giannis, though. Instead, he decided to troll the Bucks talisman by calling out his move during his first bucket against LA.
Before anything else, here is the play in question, which happened to be both Giannis’ and Milwaukee’s first deuce of the evening:

Arenas was having none of it. He quickly called out the play by claiming that Antetokounmpo traveled en route to his opening bucket:

As if that wasn’t enough, Arenas added more fire to the flame by referencing the supposed $50,000 fee Giannis paid to legendary big man Hakeem Olajuwon for their offseason workout session:

Giannis Clears Air on Hakeem Olajuwon Rumors
For what it’s worth, Giannis has already spoken out about the rumors surrounding Olajuown and his hefty workout charge. While Antetokounmpo has taken no issue with the notion of Hakeem charging him for the Hall of Famer’s services, the Bucks superstar also made it clear that he didn’t shell out a single cent:
“Hakeem is one of the best players to ever play the game, we can never disrespect him in no shape or form,” Giannis said. “He’s probably Top 10 to ever play this game, if not the most skilled big who ever played this game. So if somebody like me … seek advise from one of the most skilled big man of all-time, and I have to pay a million dollars, I will pay a million dollars. But that’s not the case. In no shape or form did he tell me to pay.”
Regardless of how Giannis has already denied the claims, the rumors just won’t die down. In fact, it appears that the trolls have got themselves a new punchline against Antetokounmpo.
