All-Star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has been on a roll lately as the Milwaukee Bucks improve their record in the league. This led to the NBA naming him Player of the week and Damian Lillard reacting to the said honor.

Antetokounmpo has made headlines once again, being named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for his outstanding performance during Week 5 of the 2024-25 NBA season. This recognition comes after a remarkable run where he led his team to four consecutive victories. The announcement was made by NBA Communications, marking the first time this season that a Bucks player has received this honor.

After a challenging start to the season, the Greek Freak has propelled the team to a resurgence, winning six of their last seven games. His growing chemistry with Lillard has been a key factor in this turnaround. Milwaukee now hold an 8-9 record and sit sixth in the Eastern Conference, with potential for further improvement.
