The Wisconsin Badgers football program made a big splash hire when they brought in Luke Fickell. Since he was hired, other big-name coaches have followed him, many transfer portal players have come to the program, and many future recruits are looking at Madison. There has been no shortage of praise for Fickell. Former Badgers star Jonathan Taylor also had some thoughts in a recent interview on the program’s direction.

Former Wisconsin Badgers Star Jonathan Taylor On Luke Fickell
Talyor is fired up over the hire just like everyone else. Jim Rome asked him about it and you could see the excitement on his face while he answered. He is excited for his alma mater to no longer be the little brother in the Big Ten. They are going to be true contenders. Badger pride runs deep and players love to see their former program succeed. I highly recommend watching the whole video because you see and hear the excitement in his answer.
Taking The Program To The Next Level
Wisconsin already has a history of sending good talent to the NFL. Last night’s Super Bowl featured a couple of former Badgers on each side. Joe Thomas was recently announced as a 2023 Hall of Fame inductee. Expect that number to skyrocket in the coming years. Fickell and his staff are bringing in so much talent. I expect the number of Badgers are that taken in the draft to rise and an already historic program will continue to build its legacy.
The anticipation is building for the spring. People are anxiously awaiting to see this team on the field in some capacity. While we still have a good seven months until the start of the season, fans and former players alike cannot wait.
