After an abysmal stint in Denver, many thought that Nathaniel Hackett would take some time off from the NFL. This left many shocked when it was announced today that the New York Jets had hired Hackett as their new offensive coordinator. There were many mixed opinions but one former Packers QB had high praise for the hire.
Hackett haters not going to like this.. but Jets stock 📈📈📈 https://t.co/qwZfTI9KHm

Kurt Benkert Praises Nathaniel Hackett Hire
Fan favorite Packers backup QB Kurt Benkert is a fan of the Jets hiring Nathaniel Hackett. While many have been critical Benkert has the Jets’ stock rising. “Hackett haters not going to like this,” Benkert wrote on Twitter. He then proceeded to indicate through emojis that the Jets’ stock was going up. Some coaches are better coordinators than they are head coaches. Hackett probably is one of them. The Jets are hoping that Nathaniel Hackett can duplicate what he did in Green Bay when he led one of the most prolific offenses in the league.
Aaron Rodgers In Play?
Of course speculation is running rampant about what this means for a potential Packers-Jets trade involving Aaron Rodgers. It is no secret that Rodgers likes Hackett and the Jets seem to be trying to convince Rodgers that New York is an awesome place to be. It did not work last year for Denver but maybe it will work this time for the Jets. Regardless of who is the QB, the Jets get a good coordinator who should help the offense get to the level of the Jets’ defense.
The offseason dominoes are starting to fall. A couple of head coaching vacancies have already been filled and coordinator jobs are also being taken rapidly. This offseason will be full of intirgue especially for Packers fans.
