Former Green Bay Packers Star Suddenly A “Healthy Scratch” For New Team

The Green Bay Packers certainly moved on from a number of players this past off-season.  In fact, in one off-season the Packers became one of the youngest teams in the NFL.  Of course, the Aaron Rodgers trade headlined the new era in Green Bay, however, there were multiple other free agents the Packers chose not to re-sign.

Many of those free agents followed Rodgers to the New York Jets, and now, he is finding himself a healthy scratch.

Cobb didn’t practice Wednesday after the Jets’ Week 7 bye, but logged limited practice sessions Thursday and Friday before heading into the weekend as questionable.  However, it was believed that he was healthy enough to play going into Sunday.  So far this year Cobb has recorded three receptions for 20 yards.

Due to the absence of the veteran slot man on Sunday, Xavier Gipson is a candidate to see more playing time behind Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard, along with Jason Brownlee and Malik Taylor.
