The Green Bay Packers front office is adding a new piece to help with the salary cap.
On Wednesday, it was announced that the Packers have hired Joey Laine as the new salary cap analyst for the franchise. Laine joins the Packers in the position after spending time in New Orleans and then following Ryan Pace to the Chicago Bears as Director of Football Administration. It’s a move that adds a new but small chapter to the rivalry.

With Green Bay entering a new era of this franchise backed by Jordan Love, it’s not shocking to see moves being made in positions like this.
The Green Bay Packers will need to be smart with salary cap spending, so getting voices in that area is never a bad thing for a franchise. He will work under Russ Ball in Green Bay.

Laine has over 15 years of experience in the NFL, joining the Saints as an intern after going to Tulane. He then joined the Bears and spent time in that organization.
