The Packers this Sunday are gonna head to Florida to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This maybe the final matchup between two hall of fame QBs in Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady. Here are some things to watch against the Buccaneers.
Packers Defensive Line vs. Buccaneers Offensive Line
Kenny Clark should be 100 percent after missing a couple of weeks plus the bye. He should be good to go. The defensive line out had trouble with Clark out, but at the same time had some guys step up, especially Kingsley Keke and Tyler Lancaster. The Buccaneers have solid guys in the interior of that offensive line with Ryan Jensen leading the way at center. The Buccaneers also have a good stable of running backs, so this will be a big test for Packers defensive line
The Secondary and Buccaneers’ Passing Game
Jaire Alexander and Kevin King are quietly one of the best cornerback duos in the game and Jaire is playing like a lock down corner to start the 2020 season. With that being said, both Jaire and Kevin are going to be responsible to stop Mike Evans and Chris Godwin if both are healthy. Mike Evans wasn’t healthy against the Bears, but he was still effective and can still make game changing plays. I expect him and Chris Godwin to play this Sunday. Amos and Savage need to continue to build off their solid performances against the Falcons. Both Savage and Amos might have tough assignments in covering the tight ends in Cameron Brate and Rob Gronkowski, who both are solid tight ends.
The Team Overall
How will the team look coming off the bye week is going to be a huge question mark. Last year we came off the bye week fully healthy and the Packers looked really bad against the 49ers. They just got flat out embarrassed in prime time. Yes, this game will not be played in prime time, but we cannot have a repeat of last year coming off a bye week not prepared and being ready to go. The Packers need to continue to stack wins and build off the hot start they are on to begin the 2020 season.
