Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur offered a concerning update on star left tackle David Bakhtiari on Monday afternoon. Bakhtiari spent last week on the injury report with a knee issue.
Bakhtiari was listed as questionable to play the Falcons on Friday’s injury report. The Packers ruled him out before the game Sunday. Many fans suspected Bakhtiari missed the game due to not wanting to play on the turf field at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
That wasn’t the case.

According to Rob Demovsky with ESPN, LaFleur confirmed Bakhtiari’s knee injury was the cause of his missing the Falcons game. Bakhtiari had swelling in his knee.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur said David Bakhtiari had swelling in his knee leading up to Sunday's game.
"His knee is injured," LaFleur said.
LaFleur does not believe that Bakhtiari's absence was related to turf and that he wouldn't have played if the game was on grass, either.

Bakhtiari’s status on the Week 3 injury report will be something to keep an eye on for his probability to play the New Orleans Saints in Week 3. (That game will be played on grass at Lambeau Field.)
Or not.
Bakhtiari probably won’t practice this week. He missed practices before playing the Chicago Bears in Week 1. LaFleur said Bakhtiari would be “fluid” this season on the practice field and on game day.
