Four Green Bay Packers were listed on Friday’s injury report as questionable; only one will play against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday after the game-day status was announced for their star left tackle.
The Packers won’t have wide receiver Christian Watson or running back Aaron Jones as they battle hamstring injuries. One good note from Saturday: linebacker Quay Walker passed his concussion protocol and will play in Week 2.
Green Bay Packers: David Bakhtiari is out against Atlanta Falcons

Left tackle David Bakhtiari was placed on the injury report this week for his long-suffering knee. His status against the Falcons was a game-day decision. According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, Bakhtiari was ruled out against the Falcons.
Actives/inactives:
— #Packers LT David Bakhtiari is out.
— #Chargers DE Joey Bosa is active.
— #Ravens TE Mark Andrews is up.
— #Texans QB CJ Stroud is up, while LT Laremy Tunsil is out.
— #Bears WR Chase Claypool is active, but WRs will rotate a bit more this week.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) September 17, 2023
The move isn’t super surprising, given the Packers would be asking Bakhtiari to play with his suspect knee on turf at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday. Bakhtiari has been vocal about his distaste for artificial turf this week after Aaron Rodgers suffered an Achilles injury on MNF. (Rodgers’ injury is not thought to be caused by turf.)
