Davante Adams was underused last night
The Las Vegas Raiders gave up a lot of capital to receive Davante Adams in a trade with the Green Bay Packers this offseason. The former Packers wide receiver had just three receptions on Thursday Night Football. Packers fans were shocked by that number.
The night ended in a loss where the Raiders blew a double-digit lead against the Los Angeles Rams. The Raiders fell to 5-8 on the season. The Raiders struggled to convert enough plays on offense to put the Rams away. Raiders quarterback Derek Carr targeted Adams seven times on Thursday. That’s not a lot for the All-Pro wide receiver.
Matt Schneidman with The Athletic pointed out how rare that night used to be for Adams. Adams only caught the ball less than four times in a game once with the Packers from 2018-2021. He’s done that four times with the Raiders this season.
Davante Adams played 62 games for the Packers in the regular season & playoffs from 2018-2021.
He caught less than four passes only ONCE in those 62 games.
He already has four games with fewer than four catches this season with the Raiders. All four, Ls.

Packers fans had fun with the stat

Many Packers fans still wish Adams was on their roster. The move didn’t appear to help either team. (The Packers and Raiders have a combined ten wins by Week 14.)
