The Wisconsin Badgers have lost a commitment in the 2025 recruiting class from a three-star athlete, who plays both sides of the field.
Cameron Miller, a three-star wide receiver and cornerback back from New Jersey, has announced that he will leave his commitment with the Wisconsin Badgers, and once again become available to recruit.
Miller had previously announced a commitment to the Badgers, and shut down his recruitment entirely however, after the five and seven season they recruit, has decided to change his potential future path. Miller had recently been closely tied to the Kentucky Wildcats, who him to use the athlete as a wide receiver, and currently Miller is a favorite to land with the Wildcats after announcing his decision regarding Wisconsin.

In his announcement, Miller asked if fans could “respect his decision“ and the wide receiver also thanked Coach Luke Fickell and Coach Kenny Guiton for their endless support during his recruitment. Both Fickell and Guiton were responsible for the recruitment of Miller, who was one of multiple wide receivers in the Badgers 2025 class.
Miller will once again become available just hours ahead of signing day, which means his decision is likely a hint that the receiver has another program in mind already.
Wisconsin Badgers Lose WR Cameron Miller Hours Ahead of Chaotic Signing Day
Miller is just one of multiple players who have made the decision to leave the 2025 recruiting class of the Wisconsin Badgers, as kicker Erik Schmidt announced that he would flip his commitment to Notre Dame.
However, the differences between Miller and Schmidt appear to be clear as Schmidt was offered a full scholarship for attending Notre Dame as opposed to half scholarship for attending Wisconsin. The Badgers would later turn Schmidt into a full scholarship player after the completion of a semester, however, the Notre Dame offer was simply too good to pass up.
Miller appears to be a lock for Kentucky, who have offered the recruit both more playing time, and a potential easier path to the NFL, which is what has led to his decision to exit his commitment with Wisconsin. Miller had previously stated that playing in the NFL was a “dream” of his and something that required a willing program as well.
The talented athlete is admittedly, a tough loss in the 2025 recruiting class for the Wisconsin Badgers, however, there is also still plenty of talent left in the class that is set to sign their letter of intent in the coming days. Losing Miller is unfortunate, however, but in addition to the other talent set to come in the class, Wisconsin is also bound to add to the receiving room via the transfer portal once it opens on December 9th.
