The Wisconsin Badgers’ new AP Poll ranking came out on Monday. They are now ranked 11th in the nation. The Badgers are 8-0 this season and will have a chance to stay undefeated on Tuesday night when they host the surging Michigan Wolverines.
Tip-off for this matchup will be at 8 p.m. CT. Michigan is 6-1 this season and they are not ranked yet. A win against Wisconsin on Tuesday night could help their case to get into the Top 25.
Players To Watch For On the Wisconsin Badgers Against the Michigan Wolverines
It is a surprise that the Badgers are undefeated to start the 2024-2025 college basketball season. Head coach Greg Gard has silenced his doubters for now, but it will be interesting to see what happens during BIG10 Conference play. A lot can happen in BIG10 Conference play for fans to change their minds about the head coach.
The Badgers are favored by -2.5 points at home against the Wolverines. Only two players in the last game against Chicago State scored in double figures. John Tonje has been tremendous all season long for Wisconsin. He scored 22 points, grabbed five rebounds, and recorded three assists in his last game played.
Nolan Winter also added 12 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Wisconsin Badgers. Wisconsin has a very deep offensive team this season.
Michigan Players To Watch For
Dusty May so far this season has worked out as head coach for the Wolverines. He was coaching Florida Atlantic before taking the Michigan job. They will have a true road test on Tuesday night.
In the last game against the Xavier Musketeers, Michigan had three different players score in double figures. Danny Wolf scored 20 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, and recorded three assists.
Vladislav Goldin scored 18 points and grabbed five rebounds. Tre Donaldson also added 13 points, grabbed three rebounds, and recorded three assists. The Michigan Wolverines are looking to prove to themselves in this game that they will be contenders in the BIG10 Conference this season. As for the Wisconsin Badgers, they need to prove to themselves that the 8-0 start wasn’t a fluke.
