One of the biggest storylines heading into Week Five of the NFL is Davante Adams facing his former team, the Green Bay Packers. The matchup between Adams and Green Bay’s Pro Bowl cornerback Jaire Alexander has been one of the most anticipated contests of the NFL season.
However, both players have gone into the game with injuries have been listed as questionable to play. A few minutes ago, Tom Pelissero of The NFL Network revealed Adams’ status for tonight’s game.
Davante Adams Will Play Against the Green Bay Packers

Last week, Adams suffered a shoulder injury in the Raiders’ game against the Los Angeles Chargers. As a result, he was unable to practice much last week and his availability for Week Five was in serious question. However, Pelissero reports that the All-Pro wide receiver will indeed play against the Packers on Monday night:
#Raiders WR Davante Adams — listed as questionable because of a shoulder injury — is expected to play tonight against the #Packers, per sources.
Adams has barely practiced since suffering the injury last weekend. But he’ll get a chance to face his old team.

Adams has 33 receptions for 397 yards and three touchdowns in four games played this season.
The Green Bay Packers Need to Limit Davante Adams

The Packers, at 2-2, need to win against the Raiders in order to keep pace with the Detroit Lions, who defeated the Carolina Panthers on Sunday to improve to 4-1. In order to do this, the pass defense needs to limit the damage that Adams can do.
Las Vegas is 1-3, and Adams is one of the only bright spots on their team, let alone their offense. However, Green Bay knows all too well the effect Adams can have on a game. It will be difficult to keep him from getting his catches and yards, but they need to be able to keep him out of the end zone.
