Daniel Jones Trends On Twitter During New York Giants Win Over Green Bay Packers

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones was trending on Twitter during the Giants’ 24-22 win over the Green Bay Packers on Monday night football. Jones has been sidelined for over a month with a Torn ACL. He received a huge contract extension in the offseason and didn’t live up to it in the offseason.

The Green Bay Packers defense did not sack Tommy DeVito once on Monday night. DeVito is an undrafted free agent from Syracuse and has been a big story for New York over the last three weeks. The Giants are on a three-game winning streak and the Packers’ three-game winning streak was snapped.

Green Bay is still in the seventh spot in the NFC for the moment, but the Giants are not out of it yet. DeVito completed 17-of-21 passes for 158 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed for 71 yards on 10 carries and zero touchdowns.

On the final drive of the game when the Packers were leading 22-21, DeVito threw a 30-yard pass to WanDale Robinson to set up the game-winning 37-yard field goal by Randy Bullock. Robinson caught six passes for 79 yards receiving and also rushed for 36 yards on two carries.

The New York Giants fanbase always has to tweet about Daniel Jones when DeVito plays better. DeVito has thrown for eight touchdowns this season and Daniel Jones has only thrown two touchdowns. This is what some people had to say about Jones on Twitter with another solid performance for DeVito against the Green Bay Packers defense.

The Giants giving Daniel Jones $160 Million and then replacing him with a better QB they found living in his mother’s house in Long Island is the best and funniest story in NFL history.

There are a lot of more things that were said on Twitter but those were some of the examples. It was a major surprise to see the Packers’ defense didn’t record a single sack on Monday night against the Giants defense. New York’s offensive line was one of the worst in the NFL this season.

DeVito was able to get rid of the ball quickly and that is something Jones struggled with big time before getting injured against the Las Vegas Raiders. New York was throwing the ball deep and not playing scared. The Packers’ defense needs to get back to the drawing board for the next game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They would have been better off facing a Jones Giants team than a Tommy DeVito-led Giants team.
