Former Green Bay Packers rival running back Dalvin Cook explained why they’re interested in teaming up with Aaron Rodgers this season. Cook is visiting the Jets facility this weekend before he makes his final decision as to where he will play this season. Cook said the odds were high he would sign with the Jets.
Free agency can make for strange bedfellows. Thus far in the offseason, the Jets have signed several former Packers to pair with Rodgers. Cook would be a much different addition to the Jets’ offense, as he’d be a former NFC North rival opponent of Rodgers joining the team.
Dalvin Cook explains why Aaron Rodgers is a draw to the New York Jets

Over the past few years, Cook and Rodgers have played major roles in deciding if the Vikings or Packers would win the NFC North. Now they could be teaming up to win a Super Bowl. Per Dov Kleiman’s transcription, Cook explained why he was interested in joining the Jets on Good Morning Football.
Cook said the main draw is being able to team up with Rodgers. He said he wanted to learn the game of football from Rodgers.

That’s incredible respect for Rodgers from Cook. Cook is something of a master himself at the running back position. But he believes he has something to learn about the game from Rodgers.
Cook’s reasoning is something the Jets have to take seriously. The Jets have a lot of young talent on their team. Adding a star veteran to the mix because they want to learn from Rodgers could help their youthful roster take the quarterback’s commands more seriously.
