The Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers will be facing off in one of the biggest games of the Wild Card weekend.  The Cowboys are looking to come in a prove they can be a threat in the playoffs after not reaching the NFC Championship game since the mid 1990s.

The Packers want to prove on National Television that Jordan Love is their third franchise quarterback in a row and that they still have Super Bowl aspirations of their own.  Today, it was announced that the Cowboys are dealing with a quarterback injury.

According to Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk:

The Cowboys are as healthy as they can possibly be heading into the wild-card playoff game against the Packers on Sunday.

Only one player carries a designation.

The team added backup quarterback Cooper Rush to their practice report Friday and list him as questionable with an illness. He did not practice.

Rush has played 69 snaps in mop-up duty this season.

Cornerback Stephon Gilmore (shoulder) had a limited practice for a second consecutive day. He is expected to play with a harness to protect his dislocated shoulder.

Left guard Tyler Smith (foot) will return after missing Week 18. He had a full practice Friday.

Defensive end Dorance Armstrong (ankle), defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins (ankle) and safety Malik Hooker (ankle) also are good to go.

Clearly the backup quarterback being injured won’t impact the game itself (barring an injury to Dak Prescott).  However, it will be an interesting situation to watch if Prescott is forced to miss any time during the game.

Rush’s ailment is unclear at this point, but his availability for the wild-card round is now in doubt. Trey Lance would likely be Dak Prescott’s backup if Rush does not suit up Sunday.

Stupid ass Cooper rush should have kept his as at home if he was sick. Dumb asshole. What he has no brain to think how important this game is.
