Jerry Jones expects his All-Pro RB to play the Packers Week 10
The Dallas Cowboys offense has seen its share of injuries this season. Quarterback Dak Prescott missed several weeks after sustaining a thumb injury in Week 1. He came back for the Cowboys in Week 7 against the Detroit Lions. The Cowboys saw another offensive leader go down that game, All-Pro running back Ezekiel Elliott.
Elliott sustained a knee sprain and has been sidelined since. It was unclear earlier this week if Elliott would play against the Green Bay Packers. According to Jon Machota with The Athletic, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones expects Elliott to play against the Packers in Week 10.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on @1053thefan he expects Ezekiel Elliott (knee) to play Sunday at Green Bay: “I do. Everything I’ve seen, I watched him yesterday, I think he’s on go.”

Elliott makes the Cowboys’ offense that much better
The Cowboys’ offense has been much better since Prescott’s return. The Cowboys scored 42 points on offense in Week 8 against the Chicago Bears. Elliott should bring another dimension to the Cowboys’ attack. He comes into Week 10 with 443 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns. The All-Pro running back is averaging 4.1 yards a carry in 2022.
He’ll be going against a Packers defense that has given up the 28th most rushing yards this season. The Packers are giving up an average of 4.8 yards per rush. The Packers’ defense will be dealing with injury issues of their own in Week 10. Injuries to linebacker Rashan Gary and cornerback Eric Stokes from Week 9 are expected to be season-ending. The Packers will need to find a way to help their new starters defend a dangerous Cowboys offense to snap their five-game losing streak.
