Bucks vs. Warriors Preview: Bucks Look to Continue Their Win Streak

    bucks v warriors

In their fifth game of the Western Conference road trip, the Bucks will take on the Golden State Warriors. The Bucks are currently on a three-game win streak while Golden State has lost 7 of their last 8 games. This matchup will be a later one for Bucks fans as it is set to tip-off at 9 PM central standard time. Let’s take a look at everything you need to know ahead of the Tuesday night matchup!

    Bucks vs. Warriors Game Details

Location: Chase Center, San Francisco, California

    Time: 9 PM CST

    Where to Watch: TNT

    Starters for Each Team:

Bucks – PG Jrue Holiday, SG Donte DiVincenzo, SF Khris Middleton, PF Giannis Antetokounmpo, C Brook Lopez

Warriors – PG Stephen Curry, SG Andrew Wiggins, SF Kelly Oubre Jr., PF Draymond Green, C James Wiseman

    Injury Report:

Bucks – Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) – PROBABLE, PJ Tucker (calf) – OUT

Warriors – Eric Paschall (hip) – OUT

    Players to Watch: Bucks

Giannis Antetokounmpo: With Giannis listed as probable, we can expect him to start but he may be limited. The last thing the Bucks want to do is risk their superstar re-aggravating his knee. Giannis is averaging 28.8 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 6.2 assists thus far in the regular season. Giannis is once again playing at an MVP caliber, and even when not at 100% he is still nearly unstoppable as he displayed in the matchup versus Portland. With Giannis sitting out the Saturday matchup in Sacramento, look for a bounce-back game from the reigning MVP.

Jrue Holiday: Following Jrue Holiday’s extension and being named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week, Jrue is looking for another huge game. On Saturday night’s matchup in Sacramento, he earned a new season-high in points and led the team in scoring with 33 points. Holiday has been on a dominant stretch as of late, and we can only hope he can continue this against a hungry Warriors team. Holiday’s defensive presence is going to be needed as he will be lined up against one of the greatest shooters of all time, Stephen Curry.

Khris Middleton: Following a lackluster performance in Sacramento, Middleton is looking to get it going again. Middleton scored zero points in the first half on Saturday but was able to turn it around and tack on 16 points. Although this was a disappointing performance from Khris, he can thrive in this matchup against the Warriors. Be sure to watch out for #22 making some noise on Tuesday night.

Milwaukee Bucks: Starting lineup beginning to mesh on both ends

    Players to Watch: Warriors

Stephen Curry: What can be said about Steph Curry that hasn’t already been said? Curry has made his name as one of the greatest, if not the greatest shooter of all time. Although the Warriors have dropped 7 of their last 8 games, this doesn’t mean they won’t be hungry. With Curry at the helm of the Warriors, anything is possible. Curry will be facing off against the best two-way guard in the league in Jrue Holiday. This means Steph will have to work for those points to work towards a win.

James Wiseman: The second pick in the NBA draft has been under a bit of scrutiny thus far. People believe he is not playing at a #2 overall pick caliber, but it only takes one game to turn that around. Wiseman has all the ability in the world in the post. Wiseman may have the opportunity to shine against a slower defender in Brook Lopez. Make sure to keep your eyes on the rookie as he plays on Tuesday night.

Draymond Green: Green has made it clear as of late how he is extremely disappointed in the Warriors’ performance as of late. Draymond is one of the most vocal members of the Golden State Warriors and is still a solid defender. Green will be coming out with more intensity after his vocal disappointment with Golden State thus far. Draymond has always been a tough player and after dropping 7 of 8 games expect that even more so.

    Conclusion

The Bucks will be tested against this Golden State Warriors team. Although the Warriors have had some tough losses this season, do not count them out. With Steph Curry and some pieces around him, anything can be possible. The 9 PM games are almost done Bucks fans! We can do this!
