Bucks head to Vegas for fun summer league dates
Milwaukee will participate again in some summer league games in ‘sin city’. The games are always a good chance to see the young guys play. Once that roster is finalized we will have it here. Milwaukee will also have some ‘bubble players’ involved as they look to lock down roster spots 12-15 for the upcoming season. Whereas last season those spots seemed strictly reserved for vets, this season everything feels more ‘on the table’ in terms of who slots where and who makes the team.

How has summer league basketball been for Milwaukee?
Milwaukee was 3-2 last season in summer league competition.
Jordan Nwora led the team in the 2021-2022 summer league with 20.3 points per game. But it is Bucks ‘legend’ Thon Maker and those years that bring back some tough summer league memories.
Back in 2016 the team was simply brutal in the NBA summer league, barely going 1-4. In that ‘season’ of play, the Bucks lost to Dallas and barely managed 64 points that game. Yikes! That team was Thon Maker-time and should have been a fortuitous preview of things to come.

More Bucks Notes
The team has a new head coach. Now, with NBA free agency beginning officially on Friday, we’ll start to see how this team shapes up. One would think Thanasis would be back because of his relationship to Giannis. But Brook Lopez is 34 and has an often-injured back. Plus rumors abound where he may end up.
Khris Middleton did not want to exercise his player option in the hopes that he could get a two hundred million dollar plus contract extension somewhere else. But as we continue to chronicle here, there are many signs that point to his return.
The Bucks gave up a ton of draft capital to get Jae Crowder so you might hope he’d be back.
But no one knows.
In reality, they might all be gone. Milwaukee only has seven players under contract for next season.
