Along with being one of the most humble superstars in all of sports, Giannis is also wise enough to notice great talent when he sees it. After the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 117-102 in comeback fashion on Friday night, Giannis spoke to cleveland.com about one Cavs player that he believes could be better than himself.

Giannis Believes Evan Mobley Can Be Better Than He Is
Writer Chris Fedor of cleveland.com caught up with Giannis as he was leaving Fiserv Forum. Fedor asked Giannis what he thought of the Cavs’ young star. Giannis replied:
“He can be better than me. I don’t see why he can’t. It’s up to him. I will always try to improve. Every day. But he has the skill set to be a very, very good player. He’s 7-feet tall. [Mobley] can move really well. He can shoot. He is very smart. As you said, he watches tapes of other players, which is very, very good for a young player. If he takes this seriously, he is going to be great.
“I didn’t average what he is in my second season, so he’s already ahead of me. It’s in his hands. If he stays humble, continues to work hard, focuses on the game and shows love to the game of basketball, he is going to be really good.”
That is certainly high praise for the young Cavs player. It surely will be interesting to monitor from afar. The Cavs have a dynamic backcourt with Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland. Having someone better than Giannis in the frontcourt would make Cleveland a force to be reckoned with.
