Brian Gutekunst must have weighed the pros and cons of moving on from Aaron Rodgers this offseason. The objective con, losing Rodgers’ arm won’t make the Green Bay Packers better in crunch time. Pros, Gutekunst won’t have to put up with Rodgers…shenanigans. Gutekunst held a press conference on Wednesday afternoon. He responded to Rodgers’ ridiculous comments the quality gave a few hours earlier at his introductory press conference with the New York Jets.
Rodgers claimed it wasn’t his fault he and the Packers did not speak on their future for the 2023 season around the time he went into the darkness retreat–or after he left. Rodgers said the Packers knew of his cellular service problems that occurred in his “beautiful house” and did not try and reach out to Rodgers via his preferred communication system, FaceTime.
Brian Gutekunst responded to Aaron Rodgers’ comments
Gutekunst tried to shut down more inquiries into his and Rodgers’ phone tag this offseason. Gutekunst has repeatedly said he tried to reach out to Rodgers “many” times. (Rodgers has claimed on appearances via the Pat McAfee Show that didn’t happen.) According to Zach Jacobson with CBS Sports, Gutekunst said reiterated the Packers wanted to talk to Rodgers but didn’t know how to respond to Rodgers’ comments earlier in the day.
“Let’s move on from that,” Brian Gutekunst says of Aaron Rodgers’ facetime comments. “We tried to communicate but i don’t really know what to say to that. We wish him well, glad that’s finalized and we’re kind of moving forward.”

Kind of moving forward?
How would one respond to Rodgers’ comments? They were deliberately absurd and deceitful. That’s not the first time Rodgers has answered questions that way. That’s who he is as a person. As an athlete, he’ll be missed.
