Matt LaFleur offers good news about a Packers veteran wide receiver
The Green Bay Packers desperately needed to get some wide receivers healthy. The Packers lost starting wide receiver Randall Cobb in Sunday’s loss to the New York Jets. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers was throwing to practice squad receivers as the Packers put up 10 points at home to the Jets. The Packers are heading into their Week 7 game with several question marks at wide receiver due to injury.
The Packers did offer some good news on Wednesday. According to Matt Schneidman with The Athletic, veteran wide receiver Sammy Watkins will have limited practice on Wednesday.
Sammy Watkins will practice today in a limited capacity and be designated to return off injured reserve.

Watkins still might not play in Week 7
This is a good progression for the Packers veteran, who has been battling a hamstring injury since September. The Packers need him back on the field as soon as possible. However, possible might not be in time for the Packers’ game against the Washington Commanders. LaFleur said Wednesday that he wasn’t sure Watkins would be ready to play in the game in Washington.
The Packers will still need to search for help on the offense before the upcoming trade deadline. The Packers need help on the offensive line and at wide receiver. Rodgers is confident general manager Brian Gutekunst will make a move if the Packers need it. It appears the Packers need it in the future. The team might be able to slide by a hobbled Commanders team, but the schedule only gets more demanding beginning in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills. The next three games for the Packers will be on the road.

If you are so unhappy with Aaron Rodgers why don’t you pick a new team
