The Green Bay Packers have placed tight end Marcedes Lewis and linebacker Oren Burks on the Reserve/COVID List. Teams are not permitted to comment on players’ COVID test results. Being placed on the Reserve/COVID list means that the two players either tested positive themselves or were in close contact with someone who did.
Yesterday, the Packers placed four players on the Reserve/COVID List. Ben Braden, Ty Summers, Tipa Galaei, and Amari Rodgers all found themselves on the list.
The Packers play the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night. Jaire Alexander, who has been out for weeks with a shoulder injury, has to be activated tomorrow. If he is not, he has to be placed on season-ending IR. David Bakhtiari has been activated, but his knee keeps swelling up whenever he practices. Za’Darius Smith has yet to return to practice following back surgery.
