Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson showed up to practice on Wednesday. He left the game on the final drive on Sunday against the Denver Broncos with a knee injury. This is good news for Watson that he showed up to practice because he missed the first three games of the 2023 season with a hamstring injury.
The injury list was rather large on Wednesday for the Packers, and that will be something worth monitoring as the rest of the week goes on. The Packers will face the Minnesota Vikings at home on Sunday. Watson, in his last matchup against the Denver Broncos, caught three passes for 27 yards receiving.
So far this season, he has only eight receptions for 143 yards receiving and one touchdown. If Christian Watson had missed practice on Wednesday, it would not have been good because he has missed too many practices and games this season.
For Now, the Green Bay Packers Hope to Have Christian Watson on Sunday Against the Minnesota Vikings

This is a good first step for Watson to be playing on Sunday against the Vikings. Thursday will be the big day for him. If he is on the field on Thursday, then he should be able to go on Sunday. If he doesn’t show up then, his status for Sunday afternoon will then be up in the air.
Christian Watson needs to be more involved in the offense. If he were somehow to miss this weekend, Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, and Dontayvion Wicks would be the top three receiving options for quarterback Jordan Love. Head coach Matt LaFleur needs to get Watson involved in the short passing game, and hopefully they are working on that at practice this week.
Watson will either go up against Akayleb Evans or Byron Murphy Jr. this weekend if available. The Packers are 0-3 this season when he plays and 2-1 when he doesn’t play.
