Bobby Portis declined his player option yesterday, leaving some fans wondering if he would be back with the Milwaukee Bucks. They were not left wondering for long. Shams Chariana of The Athletic Tweeted that Portis and the Bucks are in agreement on a four-year deal worth $49 million.

Last season, Portis had opted out of his previous contract and many feared he was going to leave after winning the title. However, Portis turned down more money to stay with the city that has embraced him as one of its own. The understanding was that he would be able to opt out again after this season and receive a much bigger contract. That is exactly what happened.

Bobby Portis has played for the Milwaukee Bucks for two seasons. In those two seasons, he is averaging 13.1 and 8.1 rebounds per game. Last season, Portis averaged a career-high 14.6 points and 9.1 rebounds per game.
And now, he will be around for at least four more seasons. Portis also announced the news on Twitter today:
