New Wisconsin Badgers head coach Luke Fickell is on some kind of roll on the recruiting trail. He has already lured back wide receiver Markus Allen and has garnered immense praise from star running back Braelon Allen. Of course, there are plenty of teams trying to work the transfer portal, and the Badgers are no exception. Recently, stud wide receiver Isaac Teslaa of Hillsdale College announced on his Twitter profile that he had received an offer from Wisconsin.

Isaac Teslaa at Hillsdale College
Wide receiver Isaac Teslaa has been playing at Hillsdale College in Michigan for the last three seasons. His best season was this past year, 2022. In 11 games, Teslaa recorded 68 receptions for 1,325 yards and 13 touchdowns. Last year, in 2021, Teslaa had 45 receptions for 698 yards and seven touchdowns in 12 games.
In addition to an offer from Wisconsin, Teslaa has also received offers from Baylor, University of Miami, Iowa, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, and the University of Houston.
Isaac Teslaa Was Not Recruited Heavily Out of High School
In an interview with on3.com, Teslaa explained why he was not recruited heavily out of high school. Teslaa played quarterback in high school, but played in an offense that rarely threw the ball. As a senior, he threw for just 448 yards while rushing for 1,139.
Teslaa told on3, “Getting recruited was extremely difficult because all my tape was at quarterback. I didn’t know how to play the receiver position. Coaches would have been taking a chance by offering me just on my athleticism.”
The chance that Hillsdale College took on him sure paid off. Per their Twitter page, Teslaa was just the sixth player in school history to achieve 1,000 receiving yards in a season. Now, Teslaa is looking to turn that production into an opportunity that will get him more recognition from NFL scouts.
