They say defense wins championships and being able to pressure quarterbacks on the regular certainly helps. The Green Bay Packers have had some elite pass rushers in their long, long history who have helped them win the most championships in the league. Let’s take a look at some of the best pass rushers in Packers history. The Best Pass Rushers in Green Bay Packers History Kabeer Gbala-Biamla, 2000-2008 You can’t tell the story of Packers pass rushers without mentioning Kabeer Gbala-Biamila. At the turn of the Millennium, Green Bay took this edge rusher out of San Diego State in the…
Considering that the Green Bay Packers own the mark for most NFL Championships (Super Bowl and pre-Super Bowl) with 13, it makes sense that they’d have a long line of successful, great head coaches. Coaches dictate the direction of the ball club and can control the environment and locker room. The Packers have had a load of great and good coaches. They’ve also had a few former players take control. For a franchise that has been around for over 100 years, narrowing 17 coaches down to four is a task. The Packers Mount Rushmore of Coaches Curly Lambeau Years coached:…
Throughout the history of the Green Bay Packers, the team has drafted 40 former University of Wisconsin Badgers. It makes sense that the lone professional football team would often dip into the lone major football program in the state, especially early on when football was an extremely regional sport. As it currently stands, there are no former Wisconsin Badgers on the Green Bay Packers roster. You could work with www.promoguy.us to bet on whether or not the team will go with a Badger this year. With free agency and the draft coming up, we can take a look back at…
The NFL offseason truly is the great equalizer. Every team has question marks, every team seemingly has a plan, and every team knows just that one thing their team has to do to win it all. There is a nuclear arms race in the AFC, but there are a number of questions among NFC teams. The NFC is home to some great teams who are almost there, but they have to have a good free agency period and draft. NFC Teams With Big Question Marks Philadelphia Eagles The biggest question in Philly is can they get back to the Super…
There are a number of reasons why non-Wisconsinites would follow the Green Bay Packers. They are a fan-owned team. They own the most championships in NFL history (including pre-Super Bowl titles). Fans get to wear cheese on their heads! Logically, there would be a large Packers fanbase away from the Badger state. There are a few states with a decent-size contingent of Cheeseheads. The Packers have the most wins in NFL history, so why wouldn’t teams in NFL deserts want to jump onto the bandwagon? There are 32 teams in the NFL but only 23 states (and D.C.) are home…
On February 11, 2024, Super Bowl LVIII will kick off at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. Late-game officiating tomfoolery aside, Super Bowl LVII was a hard-fought clash of the NFL’s two best teams. With the dust from the latest edition of football’s biggest game hardly settled, lines are already out for the 58th. And not a day too soon. Best Early Super Bowl LVIII Odds Cincinnati Bengals (+900) Starting off, the fifth-best odds to win Super Bowl LVIII are the Joe Burrow/Joe Brr/Joe Sheisty-led Cincinnati Bengals. Cincinnati has had a history of paying its star players, despite outsiders’ concerns (see: Carson…
The Green Bay Packers face an uncertain NFL off-season regarding the future of Aaron Rodgers. The veteran quarterback has made no qualms about his desire to leave and refuses to commit his future to the franchise. It would take a sizeable trade deal for Rodgers to leave Lambeau Field. But, as we’ve seen elsewhere in the NFL, once a quarterback wants out there is little a team can do but maximize their compensation. The Packers should be ready for Rodgers’ departure and already have the next quarterback in place in Jordan Love. The 2023 Super Bowl championship clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles is almost upon us, and this years build up has been as massive as ever in the world wide press as fans across the globe lap up every bit of information they can to tell who will come out on top between Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts. Although the Green Bay Packers have no stake in this years edition, eyes will undoubtedly be on the future and star quarterback Aaron Rodgers will definitely want at least one more stab at the title game before he follows…
The Green Bay Packers have a lot of work ahead of them in the offseason as they attempt to improve their team’s dire financial status with the salary cap. To put the team in compliance with the salary cap, Brian Gutekunst and Russ Ball will probably need to make changes to a number of contracts. That might entail roster cuts, trades, or merely restructurings. Green Bay was one of the favorites to reach the Super Bowl ahead of the 2022 season, however, the team disappointed in the regular season and couldn’t even clinch a spot in the playoffs. Nevertheless, the…
