The Indianapolis Colts signed a former Green Bay Packers wide receiver to their 53-man roster Tuesday. The Colts have had a lot of problems at wide receiver in rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson’s first season with the team.
The Colts wide receiver corps isn’t stacked. The Colts tried to trade with the Packers for Christian Watson when the teams were in conversations regarding Jonathan Taylor. The Packers immediately shut down any talk for Watson.
The Colts settled for another former Packers receiver when they signed Amari Rodgers after the Houston Texans released him this summer. Rodgers was on the practice squad for the first four weeks of the season and was elevated for their Week 4 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

According to Aaron Wilson with KPRC, the Colts signed Rodgers to the 53-man roster Tuesday.
#Colts signed wide receiver Amari Rodgers to the 53-man roster from the practice squad and placed cornerback Dallis Flowers on IR, signed cornerback Darren Hall to the practice squad.

The Colts have been impressed enough with Rodgers to give the third-year receiver a promotion. We’ll see how he handles the opportunity in Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans.
