The New York Jets are reportedly parting ways with a former Green Bay Packers captain on Saturday. The Jets added several former Packers players this offseason when the team traded for Aaron Rodgers this spring.
Many of the acquisitions were for the offense. However, the Jets added safety Adrian Amos for the defense this season. Amos was a Packers team captain for the 2022 season.

Amos started in 11 games for the Jets this season. He recorded 23 total tackles and made seven stops. Pro Football Focus gave Amos a 72.7 grade for his efforts this season.
The timing and decision of Amos’ departure from the Jets is interesting. There has to be more to the story on why Amos is leaving the Jets because he was having a good season on a good defense.
