Aaron Rodgers is leaning toward the NFC team
Aaron Rodgers is still taking his time to consider his plans for football in 2023. While he makes up his mind, Rodgers is still weighing in on the football still going on in February. The Green Bay Packers quarterback is contemplating retiring from football this offseason. If Rodgers comes back to play in the NFL next season, he’ll have to figure out if that’s for the Packers or another team.
Rodgers was on The Pat McAfee Show Tuesday. He reiterated that amidst heavy trade rumors and recruitment, Rodgers is still under contract with the Packers. After a few segments talking about Rodgers’ plans to make a plan this offseason, talk gravitated toward the Super Bowl.
Where Rodgers is leaning for the Super Bowl
As Rodgers’ weekly segment delves into several topics, a guest on the show asked Rodgers about the upcoming Super Bowl. Darius Butler asked Rodgers a question. With the two high-octane offenses of the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, Butler wanted to know what way Rodgers was “leaning” in the game as far as the offenses are concerned in the Super Bowl.
Aaron Rodgers thought the Eagles had the best chance of winning Sunday. He thought the offensive line of the Eagles gave them an advantage over the Chiefs.
“It’s going to be won up front,” Rodgers said. “I think the Eagles have one of the best lines I’ve seen in the last 20 years, and I think if they can hold the [Chiefs defensive line], they’re going to have a good chance to win.”
Aaron Rodgers said the Chiefs’ best chance to win was to get ahead early. He said if they could grab an early score, the Chiefs had the opportunity to make the Eagles a “one-dimensional” (running) team. Because Patrick Mahomes is such a dynamic quarterback, Rodgers said the Chiefs had a chance to beat the Eagles if they got up a couple of possessions.
