Aaron Rodgers to the Jets is old news

Maybe Davante Adams is working some recruiting magic gold to land Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers had been a sports betting favorite to land in the Big Apple this offseason. He had been connected to the New York Jets due to the team’s needs and a recently hired offensive coordinator. However, a new team is rapidly emerging as a favorite days after reports came out on how the Packers are feeling about passing the baton to Jordan Love.
As of February 2nd, SportsBetting.ag listed Rodgers as the Jets’ most likely quarterback for 2023. That’s no longer the case. Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is now the favorite at +150 odds to start for the Jets in Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season. With Carr heavily linked to the Jets, Rodgers has become the favorite for another AFC team–in the west.
SportsBetting.ag lists Rodgers as the favorite to be the starting quarterback for the Raiders next season. If Carr doesn’t start for the Raiders, Rodgers leads all other quarterbacks to lead the Raiders at -150 odds. That’s a massive jump in less than a week.
The campaign trail has been entertaining

This week, Adams has been all over social media promoting the Rodgers trade rumor to the Raiders. The wide receiver seems excited to be paired with the Packers legend in Las Vegas. And it might be working. The Raiders general manager Dave Zeigler appeared to indicate this week that they had no plans to bring in an expensive piece like Rodgers this offseason. However, the SportsBetting.ag sportsbook seems to think something has changed since that press conference.
Of course, Adams isn’t the only wide receiver trying to recruit Rodgers. Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson posted on Instagram his own message supporting a Rodgers trade to the Jets this offseason. The Jets reportedly want to go all out for Rodgers. And they’ve made moves like hiring Nathaniel Hackett to make that trade a little more tempting for Rodgers. Even so, the winds are changing to the Raiders to start Super Bowl Week.
