Earlier today Boomer Esiason read a text on air from a source who claimed to be in Aaron Rodger’s direct circle. The source claimed that Rodgers would “boycott” the Super Bowl if Green Bay were to make it.

    Aaron Rodgers’ Response

Aaron Rodgers has not held back on media this year when it comes to false information. He even went so far as to show his toe in a press conference after false reports of his injury. Today, Rodgers, Jordan Love and Kurt Benkert took to twitter to respond to Esiason.

    “he’s told @jordan3love to be ready” 😂😂😂#directcircle#dumbestfuckingstoryever #fakenews #boycottfakenews #boycottbums #boycottshoes #boycottwaterfalls#boycottAJsmokingcigars #boycottLafleursBrows#boycottGutchies https://t.co/rhuyV2mnIN

    — Aaron Rodgers (@AaronRodgers12) January 7, 2022

Rodgers quoted Esiason saying he had told Jordan Love to be ready and followed it with many laughing emojis and tags. The fun didn’t stop there. Kurt Benkert and Jordan Love came to back up their QB1 and have some fun of their own.

    Fake News 🥱

    We support the jerk 🤟🏼

    — Kurt Benkert (@KurtBenkert) January 7, 2022

Benkert saying “we support the jerk” has a little bit of a story behind it. Earlier in the week Chicago journalist, Hub Arkush, said he wouldn’t vote for Aaron Rodgers because he’s a bad guy and “the biggest jerk in the league.” Benkert is clearly calling back to that when he refers to Rodgers as a jerk. Rodgers went on to ask Benkert on Twitter if he was the so called “source” that gave Esiason the information. Rodgers also asked if Benkert was mad because Rodgers supposedly told Love to be ready and not him. Benkert replied with nother call back to a media joke and Love made sure to get in on the action.

You saw me throw 1 ball to @rcobb18 in practice and decided that was enough.. surprised you didn’t send me home mr GM https://t.co/CTaPsUeKAC

Me: when Aaron was telling this story😂😂 #iwasthesource https://t.co/hhrCpfDtEm pic.twitter.com/8bG1namTCE

    — JLove (@jordan3love) January 7, 2022

Benkert called Rodgers the GM. A small reference to some memes that went around when the Packers traded for Randall Cobb. Some people in the media thought that Aaron Rodgers return meant he was calling the shots in Green Bay which is clearly not true. Meanwhile, Jordan Love claimed to be the source.

I don’t understand how they could get it so wrong. Aaron Rodgers is the GM(and owner,) of the Chicago Bears. He doesn’t have time to boycott the Super Bowl or promote an anti vax campaign. Jordan Love is going to skip the Super Bowl and go straight to Disney World and Kurt Benkert has Covid toe and is on the injured reserve list and not expected to play.
