Esiason: Aaron Rodgers Would Boycott Super Bowl Over COVID Protocols

It does not seem like the Green Bay Packers can go more than a day or two without someone in the media making a ridiculous statement. Earlier this week, Hub Arkush, an MVP voter, said he would not vote for Aaron Rodgers for MVP because “he is the biggest jerk in the league.” Today, former NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason made another insane comment about the Packers quarterback.

What Esiason Said about Aaron Rodgers

On his show, Esiason had the following to say about Aaron Rodgers:

This is, of course, due to Aaron Rodgers and his controversial statements about the COVID-19 vaccine.

Listen. No matter how anyone feels about Aaron Rodgers and his beliefs surrounding the vaccine, there is one thing no one can deny about him. That is this: Aaron Rodgers is a fierce competitor. Does anyone really think, with his legacy on the line, that Rodgers would boycott the biggest game of his career? After an MVP caliber season? Absolutely not!

It is extremely likely that Aaron Rodgers will win his fourth MVP this year. The odds are also favorable for the Packers to make it to the Super Bowl for the first time in over a decade. There is no way that he would skip the Super Bowl over protocols. Sure, he may be vocally opposed to them, but he is going to play.
