The Green Bay Packers are heading into the 2023 NFL offseason with quite a few needs to focus on fixing. Obviously, the biggest question on everyone’s minds is whether or not Aaron Rodgers will be back. Many believe he will end up being traded this offseason and that the Packers will move forward with Jordan Love under center.
No matter what ends up happening with the quarterback situation, the Packers need to focus on improving their roster around that position. One potential need could be improving the wide receiver corps, which was a major issue during the 2022 season.
Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs are without a doubt great building blocks. Both players possess legitimate star potential. However, they could use a third running mate to take some pressure off of them.
One Potential NFL Draft Target For The Packers
On Twitter, a Packers’ analyst name Eli Berkovits shared an intriguing potential target for the 2023 NFL Draft. That target is Tennessee wide receiver Jalin Hyatt, who possesses top-notch speed, which is something the Packers could use more of next season.
The #Packers need a WR threat who can consistently beat man coverage…
Jalin Hyatt just so happened to rank in the 99th percentile in separation & separation vs. single coverage in 2022.

Hyatt is going to be an intriguing target for quite a few different teams around the NFL. Speed is something that cannot be taught. That alone makes him an intriguing prospect.
During the 2022 season with the Volunteers, Hyatt ended up catching 67 passes for 1,267 yards and 15 touchdowns. Those numbers show the kind of impact he is capable of making.

Currently, Hyatt is projected to be taken in the latter stages of the first round or early in the second round. For the Packers, who hold the No. 15 overall pick, they could take him there or try to trade back and still snag him. Either way, he would be a worthy selection.
This move would make a lot more sense if the Packers did move to Love at quarterback. Hyatt, Watson, Doubs, and Love would be able to grow together moving forward. If Rodgers returns, Green Bay would likely be more inclined to pursue a trade for a veteran wide receiver to them up with the two young wideouts.
All of that being said, it will be interesting to see what direction the franchise heads this offseason. They still need to add young talent and Wyatt would be an intriguing fit. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to take a chance on him and create a trio of young stud wide receivers for the foreseeable future.
