The Packers defense is forcing takeaways and that’s a huge reason for this win streak
The Green Bay Packers just might be running the table here as the 2022 season closes.
On Sunday, the Packers took another step forward with the thrashing of the Minnesota Vikings to move to 8-8 on the year. More importantly, it put them in a position to make the playoffs with a win next week against Detroit at home.
And a big reason why Green Bay has dug itself out of a hole is because of the defense.
The Packers have found success on defense recently with a resurgence. They are not only finding ways to win games that way but also forcing takeaways and giving the ball back to the offense to get to work.
During the first 12 games of the season, the Packers allowed 12 passing touchdowns and had just 5 interceptions. But through the four-game win streak, the team has 9 interceptions which is nearly double the amount.

Overall, Green Bay has forced 12 takeaways in the win streak which is a damn good amount.
Green Bay has still given up 4 passing touchdowns which is on the same pace but they are forcing more takeaways.
The Packers picked off Cousins 3 times in Sunday’s win, bringing one back for a touchdown as it was a big difference in the game. Now that Green Bay has found their mojo defensively, they are primed to be a dangerous team in the playoffs if they get in.
