Darnell Savage takes one to the house
The Green Bay Packers were up 14-3 in the first quarter against the Minnesota Vikings. The offense accounted for zero of the points. Keisean Nixon had a kick return to put the Packers up 7-3. Darnell Savage then picked off Kirk Cousins and returned it for a pick-six.

It was a huge play for the Savage and the Packers’ defense in a must-win game against the Vikings. Savage was benched earlier in the season for poor play. He showed Joe Barry and the Packers’ defense what he’s capable of in the important matchup.
The Packers need to beat the Vikings to stay in the playoff race. They got help with the Washington Commanders losing Sunday. However, the Detroit Lions beat the Bears. The Packers and Lions could meet next week to decide who wins the seventh seed.
