Derek Carr’s days are numbered in Las Vegas
Derek Carr’s career looks to be on the fritz in Las Vegas. Reports came out Wednesday the Raiders’ veteran quarterback will be benched in Week 17 against the San Francisco 49ers. Carr has struggled most of the season. This came after the Raiders gave up a lot of capital to get Davante Adams to help him out. One NFL analyst thinks a Packers quarterback might be paired again with Adams.
The Raiders have underwhelmed this season. Heading into Week 17, they have a 6-9 record. That’s not where many predicted the Raiders to be after they hired Josh McDaniels and brought in Adams. Carr’s stats have not been impressive; he’s thrown 24 touchdowns to 14 interceptions this season. He threw three interceptions last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Carr’s touchdown to interception ratio is about the same as last season. His completion percentage is a dismal 60.8.
One NFL analyst suggested after the news broke of Derek Carr’s benching. Nathan Jahnke, with Pro Football Focus, thinks the Raiders could be in the market for Jordan Love to replace Carr.
Watch the Raiders trade for Jordan Love this off-season to be Davante Adams new quarterback.

It’s been speculated the Packers might try and move on from Love or Aaron Rodgers next season. Sending Love to the Raiders could be an interesting move by the Raiders. Love would have some experience throwing to Adams. It would be interesting to see what the Packers would ask the Raiders for in return. The Raiders gave up a first and second-round pick for Adams. His impact hasn’t moved the needle in the overall win column for the Raiders.
