Milwaukee Bucks superstar, Giannis Antetokounmpo, fell hard on his knee in the second half of the Bucks’ 113-103 loss to the Lakers. After the game, Giannis was spotted in the locker room limping. He also wore a compression sleeve on his knee after the game.
Sources say that Giannis was sent for an MRI to get his knee check. While there, he also received three stitches in his lip, which had been split during the game.
The Bucks have been participants in some very physical games as of late. Giannis’s style of play requires him to go into the paint numerous times a game. This means that he is consistently gets banged around and hacked by opposing teams. Teams have been playing much more physically with Giannis in the paint, which has forced him to settle for more jump shots.
The Bucks are pretty banged up as a team. Kyle Korver recently returned from a back injury and Khris Middleton missed time with a sore neck. Both players seemed to be favoring their injuries last night while still playing through the pain. George Hill did not play last night after suffering a knee to his midsection in the Bucks’ win against the Pacers. The Bucks will need all players to be healthy when playoff time comes, as is evidenced by their struggles in their last few games.
