Luke Fickell has changed the landscape of Badgers recruiting. In his short time in Madison, he has pulled in many high-level recruits, especially from the transfer portal. Fickell and his staff are now focusing on future years and have begun hosting a lot of recruits for the 2024 and 2025 classes. One 3-star running back, Darrion Dupree, just completed a visit and had high praise for Wisconsin.
#Badgers have quickly formed a close relationship with three-star running back Darrion Dupree, who attended Saturday's junior day.

3-Star Running Back Likes Wisconsin
Dupree had simply said this about his visit to Madison, “I like Wisconsin a lot.” Fickell and his staff are clearly rolling out the red carpet. Recruits are also taking notice of the number of players coming in from the transfer portal. Darrion Dupree is liking what he sees out of the Badgers’ program. Running backs have always been a premium position for Wisconsin but it has gone to another level under Fickell.
No More Heavy Boxes
Braelon Allen has talked about this a lot recently. In the past, teams have been able to stack the box to stop the run because they were not afraid of any of the weapons in the passing game. That is all about to change. If teams use heavy boxes, the Badgers will burn them in the passing game. This makes Madison an even more attractive place for running backs. Players will have plenty of space to run and make big plays.
The 2024 class will be an interesting one for Luke Fickell and his staff. It will be the first class where they have a full recruiting cycle to get players to come to Madison. It will be interesting to see where they end up ranking with how many positive stories are coming out of recruiting.
