The #14 Marquette Golden Eagles will have a huge BIG East Conference home game on Saturday afternoon against the Seton Hall Pirates with tipoff scheduled for NOON CT. It will be televised on FOX Sports. These two college basketball teams met earlier this month on January 6 and the Pirates won that matchup against the Golden Eagles by a final score of 78-75.

Marquette currently has a 14-5 overall record and a 5-3 conference record. The Marquette Golden Eagles are currently in fourth in the BIG East Conference. As for Seton Hall, they currently have a 13-7 overall record and a 6-3 conference record. The Seton Hall Pirates are currently in third place in the BIG East Conference and this game will go a long way in potential seeding for the BIG East Tournament come March.

Shaka Smart’s squad had four players score in double figures on Tuesday night against the DePaul Blue Demons on the road. Tyler Kolek scored 22 points and he will need to score efficiently against Seton Hall in order to win that matchup.

David Joplin scored 21 points, Oso Ighodaro had a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds, and Stevie Mitchell also added 12 points in that contest against DePaul. They all will need to be efficient on offense if they wanna avoid going 0-2 this season against the Seton Hall Pirates.

Al-Amir Dawes led the way with 26 points for Seton Hall. Dre Davis scored 15 points and Isaiah Coleman also added 11 points for the Seton Hall Pirates.

This Seton Hall vs Marquette matchup can very well come down to the final minute. The team that is stronger on the defensive end of the floor when they need to make a stop will come out on top.
